Placement Creation Workflow in Demand Side Platform (DSP)
This project is a sub-project from the Demand Side Platform Research and Design project. An ad placement is a specific group of ad units on which an advertiser can choose to place their ads using placement targeting. It's a fairly complicated process as it involves users putting definition, budget, targeting, inventory, creatives and etc. The goal of this project is to simplify the process and make it intuitive so that the external clients and advertisers could use this self-service platform without much training.
Sine this is a fairly complicated process, after doing research, I created a step-by-step workflow to assist users. This project was broken down into steps/tabs. As there are many features within a tab, this is a year-long project that requires much effort from the Design, Product and Development team.
I was a main designer throughout the project. Working with the Product Managers (PM) was the key. PMs would envision how the page would function and provide use cases. My job was to interview users, understand user needs, design and reiterate based on feedback.
